Bronze MID Oak leaf MINIATURE - WW1

Miniature bronzed oak leaf cluster issued in WW1 (to be attached to the ribbon of the Victory Medal) sometimes referred to as the MID Oak Leaf. It was awarded to denote that the individual was mentioned in despatches by a senior officer for a specific act or acts during operation and subsequently on the ribbons of related campaign medals for mentions prior to 10th August 1920.
