Bronze MID Oak leaf - WW1 - Ribbon Bar Version

Full size bronzed oak leaf cluster issued in WW1 (to be attached to the ribbon of the Victory Medal) sometimes referred to as the MID Oak Leaf. It was awarded to denote that the individual was mentioned in despatches by a senior officer for a specific act or acts during operation and subsequently on the ribbons of related campaign medals for mentions prior to 10th August 1920.

This type is designed for sewing to a ribbon bar rather that the medal.
