Queen's Sudan Medal 1896-98

The Queen's Sudan Medal 1896 - 1898. Unusually for Victorian campaign medals, no clasps were awarded to this medal.

The most famous action of the campaign is probably the charge of the 21st Lancers at Omdurman in which a young Winston Churchill took part.
